Soup Night in the Daylight

April Soup Night 🌱☀️❤️‍🔥Rogers Park!! Think: Spring Lake side soup at Pratt Beach, the scoop on direct action skill share, May Day, report backs from rad work and juicy chats with comrades 💥💥 Join for another afternoon of sharing food, ideas and organizing questions! We convene soup night to build spaces to consistently come together and cross pollinate ideas, build stronger networks across crews, groups and campaigns, and slow down and tend to the very center of our work: our relationships with one another. ❤️‍🔥 Soup aims to be a monthly practice with a couple guarantees: two soups, fire in the cold times, and loose structure to connect around shared values, the justice & movement work we do, and what is going on in our communities right now. 💥There are exciting updates about an upcoming direct action skill share! We also plan to talk about the history of May Day and the Chicago context of the Haymarket Affair in particular, and to share back about ongoing abolitionist mutual aid efforts.💥 Try to arrive towards the beginning so we can flow through lightly facilitated afternoon. 🌱 Bring whatever excites you to soup! Your questions, zines, announcements, crew, family!☀️☀️ We hope soup can evolve and change shape as we build this practice in collaborative ways. Opt in to whatever part you want or feel drawn to! Please bring materials and zines to share and your own soup bowl if you can! We will have some to share. Location and accessibility: Meet in Rogers Park at Pratt Beach/Loyola Park at the end of Farwell Ave. To get to the spot, there are some paved sidewalks and mostly grass. The fires and meeting spot will be on grass to the north of the pier. There are no bathrooms in the park. This is an outdoor event. 🌱
