No Tent City! Freedom, Justice & Housing for Migrants Protest at Daley Plaza. Chicago's mayor is planning to house migrants in a tent refugee camp built and run by GardaWorld, a security contractor that ran terrible migrant detention centers. We demand that the city 1) Cancels the contract with GardaWorld. 2) Provides adequate safe housing to the migrants and unhoused people in the short term. 3) Invest in long term solutions that will ensure that every Chicagoan is housed.
