Anti-Eviction Rally in Support of New Arrivals

After a series of delays, Mayor Brandon Johnson and the City of Chicago are expected to begin mass rolling evictions from shelter for migrants on 3/16. Evictions have been happening on a smaller scale since day one because of carceral, punishment-based shelter policies. The large-scale arrival of asylum seekers to our Welcoming City in the last year has put a magnifying glass to the problems that many Chicagoans have known for a while: our shelter system is failing the people who need it most, and Chicago is lacking adequate housing stock. Join us as we demand better from the Mayor and our city for our new and old neighbors alike. Housing for all!
